Somehow, September got away from me. The first month of the new school year was spent doing paperwork catching up from the summer, which itself was spent in paperwork catching up from the spring. I can foresee a time when the paperwork I'm doing in 2018 will be left over from 2017, and the paperwork of the 2030s will be that from the 2020s. I'll likely live to see the 2060s. Retirement is a good time to catch up. In all of life's busy-ness, of course, it is easy to neglect the one Person who sustains all of it, and that is God. What month, though, is a better month than October for calling him back to mind? A month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, the spouse of the Holy Spirit, the mother of Jesus Christ. What month better than October to express our dedication to the rosary, given to us by St. Dominic, the founder of the Dominican Order. So, sure, I'll remember those nights in September, and I'll pray through these nights in October. What will you pray for as you begin to enter the world this station seeks to create - a world dedicate to our journey home? What kinds of programs would help you in your prayer? Please comment below.
